Elena is the founder and creative force behind Eibhlín Actias, an Italian label dedicated to couture craftsmanship and the contemporary revival of corsetry. Based in Biella, her vision is shaped by a lifelong connection to fashion, inspired in childhood by her grandmother Anna, a seamstress who introduced her to the beauty of handmade garments and the intimacy of creation.

She studied womenswear and accessories design at Istituto Marangoni, and upon graduating, chose to fully pursue the dream she had carried since she was a child. In the years surrounding the pandemic, she immersed herself in the world of corsetry, researching its history, reading extensively, and developing her first mock ups. She became captivated by the complexity of their construction, their timeless elegance, and the distinctive feeling they evoke when worn. From this passion, Eibhlín Actias emerged.

Each piece presented by the brand is handcrafted exclusively by Elena herself, using couture techniques and the finest Italian materials, including Taroni silk, considered one of the highest-quality silks in the world. All garments are made to order and require between two and four weeks of work; a single corset alone can demand up to twenty hours of meticulous craftsmanship.

Ethical production is central to the brand’s philosophy. Creating pieces solely to order ensures a unique and personal experience for each client while reducing waste and overproduction. Every garment is individually numbered and personalized with the client’s initials or name, embroidered inside.

In 2025, Elena opened the Eibhlín Actias Atelier Boutique in Alassio, Liguria, a space where tradition, craftsmanship, and couture come together, offering clients the opportunity to experience the world of the brand firsthand.

Eibhlín Actias is more than a label; it represents Italian craftsmanship preserved and elevated, slow creation, and personal meaning. The name draws from two symbols: Eibhlín, the Gaelic form of Elena, and Actias, the Luna moth, an emblem of transformation, new paths, and luminous beginnings.
