About me and my brand, Eibhlin Actias

My name is Elena Friolotto, I am 25 years old and I am an Italian fashion designer based in Biella.
I have always been passionate about fashion thanks to my grandmother Anna, who was a seamstress. Since I was a child, I knew the path I wanted to follow.
I studied womenswear fashion design and accessories at Istituto Marangoni, and once I graduated, I decided it was time to pursue my dream. Before and during the pandemic, I became deeply fascinated with corsetry, from reading hundreds of books to creating my very first mock ups. I love the complexity of their construction, their timeless beauty, and most of all the way they make you feel when wearing one.
This is how Eibhlín Actias was born.
Each piece on this website is handmade by me, using couture techniques and the finest Italian fabrics such as Taroni silk, one of the highest qualities in the world. Every item is made to order and takes between two and four weeks to be crafted. A single corset alone can require up to twenty hours of work.
I believe strongly in an ethical approach to fashion. Creating pieces only to order not only makes it a unique experience for the client but also helps to reduce overproduction and waste. Every garment is numbered and personalized, with the client’s initials or name stitched inside.
In 2025 I opened my atelier boutique in Alassio, Liguria, a space where tradition, craftsmanship and couture come together and where it is possible to experience the world of Eibhlín Actias in person.
Eibhlín Actias is not just clothing. It is Made in Italy kept alive, high quality craftsmanship and above all a unique and personal experience. The name comes from two inspirations: Eibhlín, the Gaelic form of Elena, and Actias, the Luna moth, a symbol of new paths and beginnings.
Over the years I have had the pleasure of collaborating with artists and brands such as Chappell Roan, René Caovilla, Elisa, Santi Francesi, Giulia Salemi, Mariasole Pollio, Laura Pausini, Audrer, among others.
